General terms, conditions and prices

  1. Pricing:

    Form documents (such as certificates, civil registry extracts, … etc. ) have fixed translation prices per target text page.
    For formless text translations the price differs depending on the type of text, degree of difficulty, repetition, quantity, term complexity, formal aspects and the need for special programs. They are commonly calculated by the quantity of either words or norm sentences of the Latin (source or target) text.
    Short time frame translation services can be charged with up to 50% of additional cost.
    The price for interpreting is calculated by hour (rounded up for each half hour) plus transportation time and cost.
    For other written or oral linguistic services as transliteration, text composition, correspondence, form filling, briefing, phone interpretation, … etc. we determine the pricing base individually.
    Translation prices differ by location of performing the service. For all orders in Germany the turnover tax (19% VAT) is added. For all orders in Egypt the turnover tax (10% VAT) is added. For all orders from foreign countries no VAT is added.

  2. Payment method:

    The price shall be paid in cash at our office or by bank transfer to our bank account unless otherwise agreed.
    We give our price offer before starting the service. The work order is given to us through the client’s confirmation of our offer. The client pays 50 % of the price in advance, the rest upon delivery.

  3. Delivery time and mode:

    The agreed time period for our work communicated to the client is counted from the date of receiving the advance payment.
    Written services are typically delivered on A4 paper size, Font size 12/Latin, 14/Arabic according to the formal aspects of the original text. If delivered by post the postal stamp marks the date of delivery.

  4. Property, confidentiality:

    The literary property of any service done by our office remains the ownership of the office until the full service fees are paid. The property then goes completely to the client.
    Our office is committed to professional secrecy during the work process and after submitting the service. All data and information related to the work order or the client are held in our office strictly confidential. For the sake of archiving a copy of the work is kept for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery.

  5. Client’s involvement:

    Sample translations can be prepared only for new clients and for source texts exceeding 1000 words or 100 Euros.
    For convenient execution of our work, the client need to support us by handing out in advance any required information such as:
    Instruction on the outcome concerning the purpose and content of translation (literal translation, in extracts, in summary, in part, …etc.)
    Correct spelling of personal names, trade or other names or specific terminology, as well as any formal aspects in the target document.
